3 AM the night after the election and I was awake. I was awake on the verge of panic. I pick up my phone while still in my bed and my "Smash the patriarchy" bracelet jingles a little bit.
To learn that Trump had won the election that morning was some sort of news I never thought was going to come. It has made me really think about my values, and the people in my life's values. It makes me think about what might come.
This whole election has been crazy. One for the ages. But I, along with many other Americans (and non Americans) didn't ever think it would end the way it did.
To even think about the things Trump has said makes me cringe. The things he has said about everyone except for white, straight, Christian men have been despicable.
Enough complaining though. What can we do to prevent everything he says from happening? I think the people of America are some of the strongest. My view of this whole thing is that this choice that the election has made is an overall bad one. However, I think our best bet as human beings is to fight for what we think is right.
