I took a two week hiatus from posting on my blog earlier this month. Now, I don’t really care if anyone noticed, but I'm going to talk about what I did during my hiatus. The first week, I was travelling to NYC with my family. It was a lot of fun, but it isn't what I'm going to write about.
I'm going to write about my retreat. This retreat was an amazing experience, and I appreciated it a lot. For one, with the amount of crying I did on the retreat, it was a very healing experience. Crying is a sort of cleansing of any emotional or physical crap that is pent up in your body, so it's nice to get it out.
Along with that, on the retreat, everyone becomes your best friend. Everyone around you becomes a safe space, and it will always be that way. We did plenty of discussion on some really hard topics, like police brutality and LGBT+ issues. There were more tears.
During this retreat, I was taught that crying is okay. I was taught that being a woman IS AWESOME! I was taught so many things that help me be a better feminist and overall human being. So I thank my experience.!
