As a younger teen, it was often pointed out to me that I was very young. Still, I have wanted to make a change in my community for a while. This is something that has held on to my subconscious ever since. Part of why I started this blog is because I thought I could finally have people hear what I have to say as a woman, whether I am young or not. To have people read my blog means so much to me, because in a way it means someone is reading and respecting my opinion.
Part of the problem with this idea of youth vs. maturity is that so many young people want to change the world, but need the help of others to do so. And if other people are not willing to listen to the youth of the world, then we won't change what we want to change.
The point of me writing this wasn't to bash the older feminists, nor is it to say that the younger feminists can't accomplish things on our own (because we can and we have), but I just think we could be so much stronger if we stood together and recognized each other.
